ITINERARY

October 2025

Day 1: Arrive in Delhi, DL (October 16, 2025)

  • Arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL)

  • Check-in at your hotel

  • Evening group orientation & welcome dinner

  • Accommodation: Bloom Boutique, GK-1

  • Meals Included: Group Welcome Dinner @ 6:00 PM

Note: Airport pick up is included with your trip. Please enure you have communicated your flight information and arrival time with us and upon arrival in Delhi, look for a driver with your names on a board. They will take you directly to your hotel.

Day 2: Delhi, DL to Kullu, HP (October 17, 2025)

  • Early morning flight from Delhi to Kullu (via Alliance Air 91-803 Dep: 0605 / Arr: 0730 Hrs)

  • Drive from Kullu to Manali and check in at your hotel (~1 hour drive)

  • Afternoon (Optional): Settle in and enjoy the scenery or head into the market and explore the shops and cafes!

  • Evening: Meet your local hosts and go over our program for the next two days in Manali

  • Accommodation: Anant Maya, Shuru

  • Meals Included: None for today (breakfast can be a quick coffee and pastry at the airport terminal)

Day 3: Manali, HP: Community Engagement (October 18, 2025)

  • Morning: Begin our work with the Fazl Foundation's charity partners in India. Programs will include helping at the local tuition center, painting, and cooking snacks / coffee for the children in the community. This may include some other basic handiwork such as hanging shelves and art

  • Afternoon: Two or three at a time will be heading into the local slums and working with fellowships and their leaders. This will be ongoing over the next two days while in Manali

  • Evenings: Team Engagement & Reflections back at hotel

  • Accommodation: Anant Maya, Shuru

  • Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 4: Manali, HP: Community Engagement (October 19, 2025)

  • Morning: Special performance (full dress rehearsal) of the Himalayan Children's Troupe, whom are scheduled to be in Canada for January & February, 2026

  • Afternoon & Evening: Special event planned for the Fazl Foundation's community children. Afternoon Bollywood cinema and Italian dinner buffet at Johnson's Cafe with a bonfire

  • Later Evening: Team Engagement & Reflections back at hotel

  • Accommodation: Anant Maya, Shuru

  • Meals Included: Breakfast & Buffet Dinner

Day 5: Manali, HP to SNCH Solan District, HP (October 20, 2025)

Today is Diwali, so we'll enjoy some fireworks at the hotel in the evening!

  • Enjoy a leisure morning at breakfast and prepare yourself for a windy mountain drive from Manali to Solan District (~7 hours, not including stops). Depart from Manali around 10:00 AM

  • Check into the hotel, enjoy dinner and the views

  • Accommodation: The Royal Ark

  • Meals Included: Breakfast & Dinner

Pro Tip: If you do not do well with noise at night, make sure you have earplugs with you. Diwali is one of India's most popular festivals, and it's known as the Hindu Festival of Lights! Hence, a lot of very loud fireworks . . .

Day 6-8: VBS Camps at Solan Children’s Home, HP (October 21 - 23, 2025)

  • Meet children at the orphanage and take a tour of the campus!

  • VBS program from 10 AM to 5 PM Daily

  • One the days will be spent taking a 1.5 hour hike to the river for a swim with the kids and staff! This will also include a riverside picnic. Please keep this in mind when planning out your schedule for the VBS

  • Accommodation: The Royal Ark

  • Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner

Day 9: Travel to Chandigarh & Fly to Jaipur, RJ (October 24, 2025)

  • Drive to Chandigarh (~2 hours) and fly to Jaipur (Flight 6E 7719 Dep: 1200 Hrs / Arr: 1325 Hrs. We will depart from the hotel at 7:00 AM

  • Afternoon & Evening: Drive to the hotel, check in, and relax. Feel free to head out and explore some local restaurants.

  • Accommodation: Ikaki Niwas

  • Meals Included: Breakfast

Note: Make sure to eat lunch at the airport in Chandigarh as it will be quite late by the time we check in to our hotel in Jaipur

Day 10: Jaipur, RJ (October 25, 2025)

  • Full day of site-seeing. Jaipur is packed with history, so come prepared for a lot of walking and exploring. A specialized Jaipur guide will accompany the team for this day

  • Accommodation: Ikaki Niwas

  • Meals Included: Breakfast & Lunch (lunch will be on the site seeing tour)

Day 11: Jaipur, RJ (October 26, 2025)

  • Free Day! Make sure you have Uber downloaded to get you around, or talk to us if you would like some ideas

  • Evening Indian Cooking Class on the rooftop of our hotel in Jaipur at sunset

  • Accommodation: Ikaki Niwas

  • Meals Included: Breakfast & Dinner (cooking class)

Day 12: Jaipur, RJ to Agra, UP (October 27, 2025)

  • Early breakfast and head out for our drive from Jaipur to Agra (~5.5 hours). We'll leave our hotel by 7:00 AM.

  • Upon arrival, check in and freshen up and eat a quick lunch at the hotel buffet. We're heading out . . .

  • Afternoon: Visit the famous Agra Fort.

  • Evening: Mohabbat the Taj Culutral Performance (6:45 PM start time)

  • Dinner will be on your own if you're hungry. There are many options at the hotel (rooftop restaurant next to the pool) or Uber Eats (make sure you download the Zomato App as this is Uber Eats official food delivery app)

  • Accommodation: Grand Mercure

  • Meals Included: Breakfast & Lunch

Day 13: Agra, UP to Delhi, DL (October 28, 2025)

  • Early morning sunrise tour of the Taj Mahal! We'll be leaving the hotel very early so make sure to try and get some sleep the night before.

  • Upon visiting the Taj Mahal at Sunrise, we'll head back to our hotel, eat breakfast, and load up our bags! We're taking the train back to Delhi.

  • Train from Agra to Delhi (~2 hours) via Vande Bharat Express Dep: 1105 Hrs / Arr: 1316 Hrs.

  • Pick up by minibus from the train station and go directly for site-seeing and markets for last minute shopping. We'll visit the Gandhi Smriti, where Mahatma Gandhi took his final steps. Markets will include Dilli Haat (INA), Janpath Market.

  • Evening: Head back to the hotel, eat (if you're hungry), and say goodbye to each other!

  • Accommodation: Bloom Boutique, GK-1

  • Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch (lunch will be served on the train)

Tip: Ensure you are packed prior to heading to the Taj Mahal, as time will be very limited once we reach back for breakfast.

Day 14: Delhi, DL (October 29, 2025)

  • Departure Day!

Weather

  • Fall (October): Chilly evenings, especially in Manali. Pack warm layers.

Cancellation Policy

  • 60+ days before: Refund minus a $250 admin fee

  • 31-59 days before: 50% refund

  • 30 days or less: No refund

  • If the trip is canceled by organizers: Full refund or alternative tour offered

Please note: Due to recent regional tensions between India and Pakistan, we are closely monitoring the situation and taking every precaution to ensure your safety while on tour. In the event that tensions escalate and impact travel safety, the Fazl Foundation will not issue refunds, but will instead reschedule the trip to a safer, more suitable time. Your well-being remains our top priority.

 

Travel Insurance

  • Mandatory for all participants, covering trip cancellation and medical emergencies.

 

Additional Requirements

  • Criminal Record Check: Each traveler must submit a criminal record check, including clearance for working with vulnerable children.

  • Passport Validity: Travelers must ensure their passport has at least 6 months of validity before applying for an e-Visa.

  • Medical & Cancellation Insurance: All travelers must have both medical and trip cancellation insurance for their visit to India.

 

Cultural Considerations

  • Conservative clothing required for temple and church visits

  • Women: No short skirts/dresses above the knee

  • Men: No shorts on religious site visits

 

Expectations

  • Moderate walking, early mornings, and long travel days

  • Hotels are clean, safe, and vetted for comfort

  • Allergies must be self-managed; the team will accommodate where possible
