ITINERARY

JULY 2025

Day 1: Arrive in Delhi (July 19, 2025)

  • Arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL)

  • Check-in at Bloom Boutique, GK-1

  • Evening group orientation & welcome dinner

  • Meals Included: Dinner

Day 2: Delhi Cultural Exploration + Optional Cycle Tour (July 20, 2025)

  • Shopping at Connaught Place

  • Visit Gandhi Smriti and Qutb Minar (time permitting)

  • Optional: Old Delhi Cycle Tour (CAD $45 per person)

  • Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 3: Travel to Chandigarh & Manali (July 21, 2025)

  • Train to Chandigarh (~3 hours)

  • Drive to Manali (~5 hours)

  • Accommodation: Gurung’s Cottage, Manali

  • Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 4-6: Community Engagement at Children’s Home 1 (July 22-24, 2025)

  • Full-day VBS program with children

  • Cultural performance rehearsals at local fellowship

  • Guided village trek

  • Farewell dinner at Johnson’s Lodge

  • Meals Included: Breakfast (daily), Dinner (Day 6)

Day 7-8: Visit Subathu & Children’s Home 2 (July 25-26, 2025)

  • Drive to Subathu (~6 hours)

  • Meet children at the orphanage

  • One-day VBS program

  • Accommodation: The Royal Ark Hotel, Subathu

  • Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner (Day 7); Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner (Day 8)

Day 9: Travel to Chandigarh & Return to Delhi (July 27, 2025)

  • Drive to Chandigarh (~2.5 hours), train to Delhi

  • Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 10: Day Trip to Agra (July 28, 2025)

  • Visit Taj Mahal & Agra Fort

  • Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 11-12: South Delhi Exploration & Departure (July 29-30, 2025)

  • Visit Green Park, Hauz Khas, and Dilli Haat

  • Airport transfer for onward flights

Weather

  • Summer (July): Warm with chances of rain, especially in Manali. Bring light clothing and a raincoat.

  • Fall (October): Chilly evenings, especially in Mussoorie. Pack warm layers.

Cancellation Policy

  • 60+ days before: Refund minus a $250 admin fee

  • 31-59 days before: 50% refund

  • 30 days or less: No refund

  • If the trip is canceled by organizers: Full refund or alternative tour offered

 

Travel Insurance

  • Mandatory for all participants, covering trip cancellation and medical emergencies

 

Additional Requirements

  • Criminal Record Check: Each traveler must submit a criminal record check, including clearance for working with vulnerable children.

  • Passport Validity: Travelers must ensure their passport has at least 6 months of validity before applying for an e-Visa.

  • Medical & Cancellation Insurance: All travelers must have both medical and trip cancellation insurance for their visit to India.

 

Cultural Considerations

  • Conservative clothing required for temple and church visits

  • Women: No short skirts/dresses above the knee

  • Men: No shorts on religious site visits

 

Expectations

  • Moderate walking, early mornings, and long travel days

  • Hotels are clean, safe, and vetted for comfort

  • Allergies must be self-managed; the team will accommodate where possible
